Job Title: Group Fitness Coordinator

Job Purpose:

• To assist the Group Fitness Manager with oversight of the Group Fitness department.
• Help with development of cutting edge classes, staff training, staff recruitment and retention strategies in an effort to provide excellent member service and promote a positive work environment.

Operations:

• Maintain weekly Group Fitness schedule; confirm substitutes, rotations, and expiration of classes
• Manage JV Class Count Workbook, quarterly cloning and weekly recording
• Oversee and report on condition of equipment
• Monitor studio cleanliness and maintain a safe environment for instructors and members
• Provide administrative aid for the department’s marketing needs
• Assist with ensuring instructors’ certifications are up to date
• Assist Group Fitness Manager with payroll and recruiting talented and qualified staff
• Participate in the Manager on Duty program

Department Strategy and Planning:

• Provide a well-rounded & cutting-edge group fitness class for all members with genuine care for their overall well-being
• Professional and Technical Knowledge:
• Fluent in MS Office Suite and other general computer skills
• Certified Group Fitness Instructor actively teaching at least one modality is preferred

Team Work

• Be a liaison between the Instructors and the Group Fitness Manager, promoting teamwork and a positive work environment

Reporting Structure

• Direct Line to Group Fitness Manager
• Part-Time, 15 Hours Per Week

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Jefferson Valley, NY 10535: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Group fitness: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR/AED Certification (Preferred)
