Position Description

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Facilities department is currently seeking a Groundskeeper. The ideal candidate will be responsible for general grounds maintenance and landscape construction. Use of customary tools and operation of machine equipment is required.

Position Responsibilities

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Mowing, weeding and maintaining the lawn
- Trimming and maintaining shrubs, hedges and trees
- Removing snow and ice from roads and walkways
- Operating landscaping machinery
- Planting trees, garden beds and shrubbery.

Position Requirements

Experience/Skills: A high school diploma or equivalent experience and a clean driver’s license are required. Also, a working knowledge of horticulture and two years grounds keeping experience is preferred. Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs. CDL license is a plus.

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory offers a free shuttle service to and from Syosset Train Station for all employees.
