Greenhouse Production worker will work with the Greenhouse Production Supervisors to produce greenhouse products from start to finish. The Greenhouse Production worker will work on and help supervise the work done on assembly lines and in small groups along with many other tasks. This position is responsible to accurately assemble orders, work off a checklist and work well with a team completing repetitive tasks.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in the supervision of sowing seeds, sticking of unrooted cuttings, and transplanting plant materiel into finished containers.
• Assist in the supervision of placing, spacing, and hanging plants in the greenhouse.
• Working on assembly line as part of a team to accurately produce product in a timely manner.
• Assist with maintaining plant health by executing tasks directed by production management.
• Work accurately and timely from a check list in a fast-paced and active environment.
• Process orders by pulling and packaging plant materials from various growing ranges and preparing them for shipping.
• (Winter Season) Assist with the supervision of Winter Product Assembly, including spruce tip pots, wreaths, and other winter décor.
• (Winter Season) Assist growers with pulling and packing poinsettias for retail and wholesale customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Detailed and accurate relating to the assembly and production of product.
• Work well within a team structure by using effective communication skills and following instructions.

Education and/or Work Experience requirements

• Post-secondary degree or certificate in horticulture, agriculture, or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in a greenhouse or agriculture environment preferred.

Work requirements

• Able and willing to work in all-weather types
• Able to stand/walk all day
• Comfortably lift 25 pounds regularly
