Job Description

The marina coordinator position creates and maintains the schedule for marina employees and covers open shifts when needed. The coordinator provides positive direction to attendants to ensure the facility is operating properly. They create and maintain the schedule for marina employees. The coordinator also works scheduled shifts providing customer service to slip holders and other users of the marina, ensures facilities and restrooms are clean, and sells/dispenses gas and waste pump-out service to boat customers.

The season is mid May to the end of October each year, 7 days a week, between the hours of 9:30 am and 8 pm.

Duties/Responsibilities

Essential job functions:

  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Dispense gas and provide waste pump-out service to boats in the water
  • Clean grounds and restrooms
  • Operate cash drawer and credit card transactions
  • Maintain office area
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment for all users
  • Create and maintain the schedule for marina employees. Ability to cover open shifts on occasion.
  • Provide positive direction to attendants to ensure the facility is operating properly and is clean and presentable
  • Open and close facility at scheduled times
  • Act as a positive representative for the city of Minnetonka

Other job functions:
  • Assist with boat traffic flow.
  • Assist with daily and season open/close duties.
  • Monitor parking lot.

Qualifications

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • Age 18 or older
  • Ability to follow all policies and procedures
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work with and serve a diverse population
  • Available to work daytime, evenings and/or weekends and some holidays through October 31
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • A commitment to follow in the organization's shared values

  • Staff scheduling experience.
  • Gas pump experience.
  • Point of Sale experience.
  • Waste pump-out experience.
