PRODUCTION GRAPHIC DESIGNER
THIS IS AN IN-HOUSE POSITION. WORKING REMOTELY IS NOT AN OPTION.

Commercial marketing, design and print center has an opening for a full time, production oriented, graphic designer. The candidate must be a positive-minded individual who enjoys working in a supportive, team environment. In addition to face-to-face meetings, the designer makes, receives phone calls and emails from clients to assist them with their graphic design and printing needs. The designer manages projects that involve a wide range of high-quality printing and communication services.
Primary Requirements:
- Production expertise with the latest graphics programs, including: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat.
- The ability to create excellent professional graphic designs for other businesses. The files need to be technically proficient and free from output issues.
- Accuracy and attention to detail are critical components for this position.
- Experience troubleshooting digital files for transparency, overprint and separation issues.
- Experience with pre-flight, imposition, scanning, font management, computer maintenance and backups.
- The ability to consistently output to a variety of digital devices, including: digital copiers, color laser printers, wide format inkjet printers and plate setters.
- Experience converting Microsoft Publisher files to high quality Adobe InDesign layouts is a plus.
- Familiarity with variable data concepts and production is a plus.
- Web design experience is a plus (Adobe Dreamweaver).
- Working knowledge of social media is a plus (Facebook, Twitter, blogging, email blasts).
- Working knowledge of social media and be able to create social media posts through a commercial dashboard. You will work with others on the team to create and implement a social marketing program for the company.
The candidate must also be able to work well with both external and internal customers while meeting or exceeding quality expectations and production deadlines.
Previous experience in either offset printing business or service bureau preferred.

Additional Responsibilities
- Professionally make and answer incoming telephone calls in a pleasant manner and direct the caller to the appropriate team member.
- Professionally handle incoming requests from customers and ensure that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly.
- Provide quality service and support in a variety of areas including, but not limited to: billing, placing print orders, and system troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot customer issues over the phone.
- Maintain a balance between company policy and customer benefit in decision Handles issues in the best interest of both customer and company.
- Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the customer’s experience.
- Other duties as may be requested by the Supervisor.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
