Summary
This position is responsible for identifying funding opportunities and preparing proposals and grant applications that increase investment in Palmetto Goodwill’s mission and programs. Performs professional and administrative work in researching, identifying, developing and responding to public and private grant opportunities in the area of Workforce Development. Provides administrative oversight for assigned grants under the direction of the Senior Director of Mission Services. Work is performed under broad direction of the Chief Mission and Marketing Officer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Grant Operation and Reporting:Works in conjunction with the Senior Director of Mission Services to develop grant programming and activities to meet proposed outcomes measured by funder requirements.
Ensures operation outcomes and goals are aligned with program requirements and supports department’s efforts to achieve successful results.
Ensures programs are operating in compliance with all grant requirements.
Provides day to day oversight of multiple assigned small-scale grants.
Completes accurate and detailed reports on time as needed.
- Financial: Sustains growth through financial stewardship and fiscal responsibility.Generates revenues for all programs and services through timely submission of well researched, well-written and well-documented grant and/or contract proposals.
Researches and identifies new government, corporate, foundation, and private funding prospects.
Recommends grant priorities to leadership.
- Customer & Community:Collaborates with funding source (customer) to understand and deliver customer’s needs and expectations.
Acts as liaison with grant program team members as well as internal and external constituents.
Engages with program staff along with Palmetto Goodwill’s Mission Services, Finance and Human Resource teams to submit proposals (i.e., budget preparation, staff planning, resource allocation, etc.).
- Operational Excellence: Implements strategies to maximize resources and infrastructure.Generates application packages and supporting documents in response to Requests for Proposals.
Maintains and implements calendar activities, including cultivation activities with the Sr. Director of Mission Services.
Utilizes grant research tools and identifies new opportunities to provide support to Mission Services.
Submits timely reports to funders based on individual grant requirements.
Complies with all agency policies, procedures, and safety standards throughout all work areas; maintains same to meet Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), Department of Labor, and other regulatory standards.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

- A valid driver's license and automobile insurance acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance carrier.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree is required, and five (5) years of relevant experience or equivalent experience, including certifications or tenure.
Physical Demands
While performing these job duties, the employee is regularly required to: talk and/or hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
