ABOUT THIS POSITION:

The Engineering Manager (m/f/d) has the capability in building bridges between our regional engineering and manufacturing teams in Europe and North America. They will drive consistency in processes and equipment and manufacturing solutions across all regions, set global standards and will drive continuous improvement activities in order to assure world class manufacturing is deployed.

The ideal candidate (m/f/d) will assess the manufacturing sites in order to verify Bill of Process (BOP) & Bill of Equipment (BOE) compliance, address capability and competency gaps and will lead and manage gap closure activities. All this is needed to increase competitive position and increase value to our customers. The Engineering Manager (m/f/d) identifies relevant technology trends and opportunities, develop relationships and partnerships with internal stakeholders, industry leaders and core suppliers, assess talent as well as implement development plans to assure succession planning and organization capability.

Successful candidates (m/f/d) will take over the functional leadership of three Engineering Managers at the respective production sites and directly report to the Global Industrial Director.

YOUR RESPONSIBILTIES:

New product and process Introduction:

o Provide technical leadership and project management to new and existing products and processes to ensure robustness throughout the lifecycle of the product

o Provide the technical leadership in the timely introduction of new products and processes, ensuring ‘right first time’ and driving adherence to project and validation plans

Continues Improvements:

o Identify and deploy productivity improvements across all production sites by benchmarking, utilization best practices, time studies, line balancing and lean initiatives

o Strong leadership – Able to proactively influence project direction, gain enrollment and alignment of other functional groups & key stakeholders

o Build diverse and collaborative Relationships - Development of relationships will

o Passionate for technology - you should have a curiosity to troubleshoot complex issues and develop new solutions

o Process understanding - be able to turn product and material requirements into equipment solutions

PROFILE:

• Bachelor or master’s degree in mechanical, Manufacturing/Industrial, or Electrical Engineering; or equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
• Strong know how in production process and line balancing initiatives
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with fluent in English and German; both written and spoken
• More than 10 years of experience in various engineering/process development assignments as Process or Manufacturing Engineer, Process Developer, NTI or NPI Manager or a similar position (m/f/d)
• Strong background in technical concepts and machines / tools and process optimization
• Strong collaboration skills, have bias for action, be adaptive to change and possess steel trap accountability
• Available to travel up to 25%
