e are currently seeking a talented and motivated GIS Senior Analyst for a Full-Time position to join our team in Fort Collins,CO.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and recommendations for GIS-related projects in compliance with Federal policies, regulations, and statutes.
• Assist lead offices in mapping and curating spatial data across a species range to ensure shared interpretation.
• Coordinate with offices on an appropriate scale for mapping shared species
• Conduct quality assurance and control on range projects and refine SOPs based on feedback.
• Identify and collect spatial data objects/layers for multiple species in range mapping efforts.
• Support revision of data standards and procedures for species range maps in ECOS/ECOSphere, including meta-data management and quality control/assurance review protocols
• Assist in implementing SRP protocols and developing species range maps for over species for which Ecological Services is responsible.
• Participate in working groups and assist in developing standard operating protocols or guidance to address range requirements, processes, or procedures.
• Conduct spatial analyses on individual or groups of species, including connectivity, prioritization, climate change, and landcover modeling and change analyses.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in GIS technical support or related field.
• Strong knowledge of R, R Shiny, workflows, big data, GIS, spatial data management and manipulation, and data modeling.
• Proven experience in managing a GIS-based data system, including data curation, quality control, and quality assurance.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to coordinate with multiple partners and organizations.
• Demonstrated project management experience, including short-term and long-term planning, goal and policy setting, and monitoring accomplishments.
• While biological training and/or knowledge is not required, it would be preferred.Biological training and/or knowledge preferred, but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
