Job Description Summary
In this role, you will collaborate with other engineers to design embedded systems. Part of these responsibilities include writing and debugging code and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) and software-in-the-loop (SWIL) testing, so we are looking for applicants familiar with C, C++, C#, MATLAB, and other programing languages. You should be comfortable learning other language platforms.Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other engineers to design, build, and maintain embedded systems
- Build software applications for various platforms
- Write and debug code
- Troubleshoot and fix hardware/software issues
- Write and maintain documentation
- Organize and/or attend meetings with team to discuss project design tasks and schedule to meet deadlines effectively
- HWIL and SWIL testing
Requirements:
- BS degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
- U.S. Citizenship / Ability to pass background investigation & drug screening
- 1-3 years’ experience with working with embedded hardware – microcontrollers, FGPAs, etc.
- 1-3 years’ experience working in a Linux Environment
- 1-3 years’ experience programming in C, C++, or C#
- 1-3 years’ experience working with logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, etc.
Preferred Skills:
- MS degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
- Experience working in MATLAB, LabView, etc.
- Experience with FPGAs and ARM microcontrollers
- Operating Systems and RTOS
- Basic signal analysis and physics knowledge
- Ability to work well in a team environment and coordinate between various teams and disciplines
- Excellent communication and documentation
- Must be independent and self-motivated, demonstrating strong analytical skills and creative thinking
