Job description
As a Global Process Engineer you will define present and advanced manufacturing processes, new product introduction, product issue resolution, manufacturing support and troubleshooting current processes. You will be an important contributor to the operation and have interaction with staff, and key leadership members. This position is located onsite at our Mojave, CA. facility and you will report to the Senior Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Modifies existing products to meet customers' needs through the application of knowledge of sealants, coatings, adhesives and/or polymers
Utilize six sigma / lean tools
Interact with manufacturing, S&T and the ASC network at a technical level to resolve product issues or to support product and process development efforts.
Perform calculations and assessments to convert laboratory scale formulas to large scale processing.
Review and define necessary equipment when new processes are needed for new product introduction.
Shepherd formulations from laboratory scale to manufacturing and packaging to ensure secure launch and commercialization.
Follows all PPG and regulatory requirements with regards to safety, ethics and behavior and export compliance
Qualifications
US Citizen
BS degree Chemistry, Mechanical/Manufacturing/Chemical Engineering or equivalent work
experience, certifications / training a plus.
Ability to travel up to 10%
Salary Range $85,000-105,000 plus annual bonus
