WCFA is currently hiring for a Front Office Receptionist to perform a variety of clerical responsibilities. The position characteristics reflect the most important duties, responsibilities and competencies considered necessary to perform the essential functions of the job in a fully competent manner. They should not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements of the position.

  • Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors, in person or over the phones; answering or referring inquiries.
  • Answers the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette.
  • Check and respond to voicemails in a timely manner
  • Review and respond to faxes in a timely manner
  • Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
  • Facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patients' arrival, being aware of delays, and
  • communicating with patients and clinical staff.
  • Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
  • Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by collecting patient detailed patient information including personal and financial information.
  • Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
  • Responds to patients', prospective patients, and visitor inquiries in a courteous manner.
  • Calls patients daily to confirm next day's appointment.
  • Verifies method of payment for service and collects data and/or payment as appropriate.
  • Exercises problem-solving and conflict resolution skills when handling patient complaints; refers patient complaints to appropriate designated personnel as needed.
  • Assist in answering telephone lines; make, reschedule, or cancel appointments, forward or take messages as needed.
  • Maintains patient waiting area, office files, and front office space in a clean, neat and orderly fashion.
  • Familiar with Medical Insurances, HMOs and PPOs
  • Medical experience with EHR/EMR preferred
  • Podiatry experience a huge plus!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
