Job Summary

PRADCO operates a Distribution Center that employs 75 – 120 people processing thousands of deliveries each day. Forklift Operators perform various duties pertaining to receiving, inventorying, processing, and shipping products. The Forklift Operator drives and operates an electric powered industrial truck equipped with various lifting devices such as forks or an elevated platform to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products and other materials in the warehouse.

Job Responsibilities

• Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials, and transports load to designated area.

• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.

• Inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.

• Weigh materials or products and record weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.

• Load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting device.

• Meet project deliverables by meeting production rates and deadlines.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Previous warehouse experience using a barcode inventory system.

• Previous forklift operating experience.

• Successful completion of forklift certification.

Essential Job Functions

• Must frequently lift and/or move more than 60 pounds while in stooping or crouching posture, or at elevations of up to 30 feet off the ground.

• Employees must be able to stand up to 10 hours a day.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

• Successfully complete complex tasks consisting of multiple step instructions.
