PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Provide exceptional service to our customers by helping them avoid, manage, and quickly recover from unexpected losses. We accomplish this by gathering key information and guiding the customer through the process in a fast pace call center environment. Keeping in mind, the claims experience is an opportunity to define our policyholder perception of NBIC.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides First Notice of Loss response via telephone, fax, e-mail and mail by gathering information, understanding, empathizing and educating our customers; as well as setting expectations on the claims handling process.
  • Handles difficult customer situations over the telephone with minimal supervision and proactively contact emergency service vendors.
  • Completes a variety of administrative tasks from internal & external customer’s requests, multiple e-mail boxes, fax and mail; evaluates requests by using established guidelines and discretion while providing exceptional service all in a timely manner.
  • Consistently meet all data entry and NBIC’s standards of performance requirements to ensure excellent customer service, accurate and professional handling.
  • Determines and dispatches the appropriate adjuster assignment based on the type of loss, inventory, territory, and licensing requirements abiding by claims standards and established guidelines.
  • Continually seeking new ways to improve our customer experience through the use of technology and resources.
  • Completes special projects and other related assignments as delegated by management.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, & SPECIAL SKILLS PREFFERED:

Associate degree plus 3 years' experience or equivalent experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft office products (Outlook, Excel, Word)
