$105,100 - $128,500

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:

Responsible for supervising work necessary to maintain, repair, and rebuild a variety of control systems and electrical equipment (including AC, DC and synchronous motor control, Distributed Control Systems, control valves, and process measurement instrumentation) to achieve high reliability and minimize repair costs. The supervisor will provide front line direction to a team of highly skilled electrical/instrumentation technicians who will be engaged in areas throughout the mill. The crew that this individual will supervise will set the standard for precision work and retain the knowledge of these repair procedures for Mansfield equipment. Electrical/Instrumentation Supervisors:

  • Must ensure their team works safely in an industrial environment, and consistently demonstrate model safety behavior
  • Must have knowledge of principles underlying the construction and use of control instrumentation, construction and use of low voltage and medium voltage AC motor starters, and the construction and use of Programmable Logic Controllers, Analog and digital system fault diagnostic techniques and procedures
  • Supervise the inspection, testing, adjustments, calibrations, and servicing activities necessary to assure the proper operation of process instrumentation and control systems.
  • Maximize team impact by focusing on precision work and avoid rework
  • Coach and manage employees to be in complete support/compliance with Reliability efforts, through adherence to Work Management Systems, Precision Maintenance practices & standards, Root Cause Analysis & Equipment Condition & Monitoring practices
  • Communicate and implement fundamental maintenance standards and expectations, audit frequently for sustainability and consistency, and give constructive feedback and correct behaviors when needed
  • Establish efficiency benchmarks for repair downtime

The Skills You Will Bring:

Electrical Engineering degree is required, with 2+ years of electrical/instrumentation experience being preferred.

OR

H.S. Diploma or GED is required, along with 7+ years of electrical/instrumentation experience. An associate degree in a related discipline and at least 5 year’s experience in a manufacturing maintenance leadership role is preferred.

The successful candidate will have experience in supervising and possess knowledge of and experience with the installation, maintenance, emergency repair, inspection, and testing of a variety of control systems and electrical equipment (e.g. AC, DC and synchronous motor control, Distributed Control Systems, control valves, and process measurement instrumentation).
