JOB SUMMARY:
Under supervision of the Fireworks Commissioner, ensures safety of the fireworks stands where needed.
MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Patrols the fireworks area on a regular basis.
  • Makes sure that the windows and doors of each stand are secure after business hours.
  • Maintains public order
  • Accompanies Firework Commissioner when he/she inspects fireworks stands
  • Works with Muckleshoot Indian Tribal security, Auburn Police, and Fire Department.
  • Enforces the Drug and alcohol free environment policies.
  • Maintains a log of all time worked and duties performed while on shift, reports all incidents to commissioner in writing.
  • Must be able to patrol other fireworks properties if requested.
  • Because of the Tribe’s commitment to community service and the well being of its members, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities.
EDUCATION - EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING FOR POSITION:
  • Must be able to pass Drug/Alcohol test
  • Must have Valid Washington State Driver’s License
  • Must be able to work well with the public
  • Must be dependable and punctual

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear; and occasionally climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud in the field.

Licenses or Certifications Required: A valid Washington State Driver’s License is required at time of appointment or at a time set by the Tribe.
