Description:

Work independently within a team of financial planning analysts to create financial planning deliverables for financial advisors. The best candidate is one who thrives working independently in a self-directed, self-managed environment with high expectations related to quality and delivery. This posting is for experienced financial planning analysts with a minimum of 2 years' experience writing financial plans using NaviPlan, MoneyGuide or eMoney. Applicants without direct experience with financial planning software will not be considered. We have another posting for entry-level/career changers.

The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 plus bonus opportunity. We do not consider in our hiring decision, nor will we ask for, your salary history.

This job is posted as "remote" as the right candidate can be successful remotely. That being said, we also have a robust "in-office" experience in Rhode Island.

Responsibilities:

Data Gathering and Organization

· Assist advisors in collecting client data

· Gather and organize data

· Identify missing data

Data Entry and Analysis

· Enter data into financial planning software

· Check data entry via self-audit

· Perform preliminary case analysis

Deliverable Creation

· Create financial planning deliverable per advisor specifications

· Work with advisor to identify strategies

· Prepare preliminary client recommendations for advisor

· Edit final document to make it a client-friendly, professional deliverable

Other

· Self-directed work flow

· Perform other financial analysis as requested by advisors

Qualifications:

Must haves

· 2-3 years' experience in a financial advisory firm as an associate advisor, client service specialist, or financial planning specialist.

· 2-3 years' experience with financial planning software. To qualify for this position, you must have at least 2 years' experience with NaviPlan, MoneyGuide, or eMoney.

· Strong analytical and writing skills

· Strong attention to detail, positive attitude and desire to learn

· An interest in financial planning and investment management

· Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and the ability to learn financial planning software

· Ability to work independently

· Ability to adhere to rules and regulations required by advisors, Ameriprise Financial, and FINRA (Financial Industry Regulation Authority)

· High School Diploma, or equivalent
