Summary
Responsible for processing transactions within the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) which support scheduled financial cycles for the State of Rhode Island Medicaid Program. Transactions consist of processing payments for both Medicaid Providers and clients which are requested by our customers. This position is in Rhode Island and requires on-site training in Warwick, RI with some remote work after training.
Your role in our mission
Examples of tasks required:
Process Claim Adjustments and Recoupments due to corrections to the initial submission of claims. Due to client program enrollment changes, process recoupments and payouts to Managed Care Organizations (MCO). Preparation of daily bank deposits, ensuring categories are accurately posted to various Account functions. Maintain check stock and storage. Logging each check issued and having it verified for accuracy.
- Issue Manual Checks for provider/client reimbursement
- Process wire payments. Bank Reconciliation
- Post Payments on Account Receivables
- Set Up Electronic Funds Transfer Transactions & Reversals
- Prepare and record a report of all checks processed each financial cycle and submit it for State review.

What you should expect in this role
- College Graduate preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Banking or Accounting Experience is helpful.
- Computer Skills.

The pay range for this position is $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
