Job description
What You'll Do:
Responsible for effectively managing application processing, verification procedures, and participate in reconciliation of state and federal grants and scholarships, and/or external loan and grant program (crossing up to three fiscal years at a time) in compliance with all regulations governing those programs. Develop and incorporate new regulations into the processes as needed.
Work closely with internal and external agencies and departments (including the US Department of Education; the Illinois Student Assistance Commission; Private lenders; and the DePaul Student Accounts, Controllers and Treasury Offices) to coordinate fiscal reporting and reconciliation.
Coordinate effective delivery of FA funds to students along with OFA Counselor liaisons. Counsel students and families involved in the application process; maintain a knowledge of federal and state programs and awarding policies, and DePaul University procedures to support student enrollments.
- Participation in administration of individual student aid programs: aggregate dollars of programs involved exceed 500 million dollars annually.
Bachelor's degree required.
Familiarity and experience with student aid programs and student processes required.
Capacity to embrace change and willingness to be flexible in work hours.
Capacity to work independently, effectively, and under pressure during peak processing.
Demonstrated communication skills, analytical skills and attention to detail.
