We look for self-driven individuals that can work effectively in unstructured work environments and can coordinate data collection uploads to our Kansas City design office daily.

Candidate is expected to be a part of the design team to support design field collection of surface features, identify areas of concern for initial route planning and construction, and may be tasked with other assignments related to fielding or design support in order meet the deadlines of an aggressive project timeline. Candidate will need to have excellent communications skills and be able to work well with others, who will often be in remote locations.
This position will support multiple projects across North America and Canada. It will require significant travel to client site. When the fielder is not in market or on a client site, he/she will support the construction team inspecting.
DUTIES AND AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Setting up, coordinating and performing field work and site visits.
2. Performing pole inspections, loading analysis and identifying make ready work (if aerial)
3. Collect all surface features using GIS and GPS related tools and software
4. Be able to identify obstacles which and solutions for proposed construction.
5. Work out in the field and be comfortable in the elements daily
6. Be able to walk for long durations.
7. Coordinate and manage all cross-team activities, including but not limited to: Project level tasking – assignments, due dates, and quality of deliverables.
8. Participate in project team calls – and accurately report production
9. Manage and oversee consistent use of Magellan’s tools within the teams, including but not limited to Wrike, ensuring project data is consistent and accurate.
10. Support project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and quality control. Raise project concerns or risks to management, as necessary.
11. Have a safety-first mindset.
12. Coordinate with management and clients for any building walk outs.
13. Complete administrative and fulfillment activities as needed.
14. Maintain reporting tasks as needed.
15. Participates in research activities, supporting key project data requirements.
16. Identifies network requirements for clients and document thoroughly requiring an understanding of network construction methods and components.
17. Setting up, coordinating and performing field work and site visits.

18. Travel required 80%.
Must have valid driver’s license, transportation and cell phone.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or Associate's degree (A. A. / A. S.) preferred, or experience in construction a plus.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft PowerPoint.
