As an F&I Lead with Volkswagen of Fairfield, you are responsible to assist Client Advisors with arranging the financing of their customer’s vehicle purchase. This includes supporting a team to print deals and prepare them in a timely manner for the on-site or online customer to complete.
The successful candidate will do the following:

- Proficient at structuring deals for maximum profitability and collectability
- Proficient with title laws and registration process
- Maintains proficiency and certifications as required for the position
- Automotive F&I Lead accurately submits deals to lenders for approval for credit decisions
- Ensures all deals are fully compliant with local, state and federal guidelines
- Prepares paperwork, contracts, and delivers deals
- Prepares and mails all deal packages with complete and proper documentation to lenders or follows any other process that may be in place in their respective department
- Accurately audits team deals Post-Sale
- Ensures the expeditious funding of all contracts.

- Able to use/learn to use: CRM database, dealer DMS system, Microsoft Office Products, Google Suite, and other software products as required.
- Handle all vehicles with care, keep them clean and take precautions to protect all vehicles at the dealership.
- Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check, MVR check, and drug test with results that are consistent with Company hiring standards.
Education, Experience, and Certification:
- 3-5 years of working knowledge in Finance and Insurance products
- Menu selling experience is required
- Business management experience in the automobile industry is a plus
- Effective oral and written skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
- The ability to work independently with limited supervision and the motivation to continually increase product knowledge should be evident.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must possess and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Must hold a current State sales license or have the ability to obtain a sales license as required by the State of California.
- Ability to successfully pass the Association of Finance and Insurance Professionals (AFIP) certification test.

- Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions in both summer and winter.
- Regular, punctual attendance is required.
Work Environment:
- This position operates in a professional dealership environment.
- Evening and Saturday work will be required as job duties demand. Scheduled shifts will be determined by the manager, with rotating shifts throughout the workweek.
- Must maintain a clean, safe working environment at all times.
- Must perform duties in all weather conditions.

The Finance Lead Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Salary Compensation of $5,400.00. The position may also pay bonuses which is based on the value or amount of closed sales achieved from $0.00 (if no sales are made) without any upper limit other than sales performance. The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.
