Facility Attendant - New York, NY

Full-time at NEW 6,100 sq. ft. corporate fitness facility

HealthFitness is looking for a Facility Attendant to join the team at our corporate client site located in Midtown Manhattan. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility, locker rooms, and equipment. 40 hours per week, working approx. 10:30AM-7PM Monday-Friday.

Duties Include:

• Cleaning, sanitation and light maintenance throughout fitness center (main exercise floor, juice bar area, group class studio) and locker rooms. Will clean & refresh showers, sinks, vanity areas, toilet areas, mirrors, vents, light fixtures, lockers, exercise equipment, baseboards, floors and trash.
• Fold and replenish towels, sort and distribute member garment bags, and empty laundry receptacles throughout day. Prepare dirty towels and garments for service pick-up.
• Maintain and restock supplies and amenities throughout the club.
• Ensure that the exercise areas are clean and equipment/weights are returned to their racks or storage areas.
• Assist with Service Desk duties.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.

Education, Experience & Certifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 6 months of facility housekeeping experience required. Ideal candidates will have previously worked in a health club or hotel.
• Adult First Aid and CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 90 days of hire.
• Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.
• This client site requires full COVID-19 vaccination as an essential job function. Compensation: $12/Hour - $19/Hour. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
