Position Summary:
The Facilitator of Intergroup Dialogue reports to the Directors of Intergroup Dialogue and is primarily responsible for facilitating sustained dialogue for-credit courses involving topics on identity, justice and inclusion. This position is responsible for generating, collecting, organizing, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to assess the Intergroup Dialogue Center. This position effectively implements methods to assess the dialogue program and increase performance across all levels of the program.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate projected load of up to 4 sustained dialogue for-credit courses per semester (8 per academic year).
2. Support data collection and analysis of dialogue programs, trainings, and facilitators toward program assessment and publication.
3. Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Formal Education
Master’s degree required
2. Specific Job Knowledge
  • Evidence of ability to collect and analyze data.
  • Familiarity with dialogue programs and pedagogy.
  • Demonstrated understanding of current best thinking in higher education about diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Evidence of ability to work effectively with college students, faculty and staff.
  • Evidence of ability to implement effective trainings for adult learners.
  • Experience of effective project management.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Office machines, e.g. printers and copiers.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems, such as Blackboard.
3. Minimum work Experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in college teaching and/or facilitating intergroup dialogue.
4. Work Skills:
  • Must be comfortable working in a dynamic, intercultural environment.
  • Must be self-motivated and results oriented.
  • Must take initiative where appropriate.
  • Must be competent in managing intercultural conversations.
  • Must demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent writing and verbal skills.
  • Must demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be able to protect confidential information.
  • Excellent computer skills, command of Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn new computer programs.

5. Equipment Knowledge
  • High comfort level with computer and web-based systems, ability and willingness to learn new software applications.
