Storm is seeking a manual Machine Operator for an immediate Direct Hire opportunity. This position is for a growing, and well-known company in Placentia, CA.

Basic Details:

• Shift/Hours: 2nd shift – 3:30pm – 12:30am

• Pay: $23- $26 per hour

Summary:

Operating a manual machine to create tools and other components using a variety of equipment, such as a lathe, a drill press, a micrometer, and grinding machines. Reading and using blueprints for specifications of tools and components. Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure it remains in good working order. Following safety and company procedures, keeping a clean work environment and other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Read blueprints to determine what equipment and materials are necessary for the job
• Follow the blueprints to create the appropriate tools and components
• Operate your machines to grind, cut, and polish the materials
• Finish projects using manual tools
• Machinist vocational certificate or completed industry apprenticeship
• Manual dexterity
• Lathe machining experience
• Blueprinting reading skills

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Completed a training program through an industry apprenticeship or has earned a machinist certificate from a vocational school and has at least one year of manufacturing experience. (Prior experience as lathe operator or in another manual machining position is a plus but not required.)

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
