Summary:
The event coordinator will assist in organizing, coordinating, and providing support to ensure a safe and seamless execution of university events.
Job Description:
Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Assist event manager and associate director with proper execution for university events, while facilitating proper interdepartmental communication and organization across applicable departments in a timely manner.
  • Oversee master events calendar, meeting agendas as well as communicating necessary changes.
  • Assist events team with daily administrative work and logistics.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Organization skills.
  • Exceptional collaboration, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to work on campus or at off-campus event sites.
  • Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed for special events.
