AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic leader to fill the role of Event and Catering Coordinator at the prestigious Washington College in Chestertown, MD.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Interact daily with clients to plan and sell campus events
• Coordinate with culinary and management team as leader of campus events to ensure successful operations of catering functions including preparation, transportation, setup, and cleanup of all events
• Hire, train, and schedule catering staff
• Actively participate in the development of existing catering staff in service techniques, menu presentation, policies, and procedures
• Oversee ordering, receiving and billing functions
• Follow up on all catered events
• Engage professionally with individuals at all levels
• Monitor care and operation of delivery vehicles
• Five or more years of management experience in the catering field
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and decision making ability
• Willingness and availability to work a flexible schedule
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of Catertrax billing system preferred
• ServSafe Certification preferred
• TIPS Certification preferred
