Quest Window Systems Inc (“Quest”) is a manufacturer of a window wall system designed for high-rise residential developments, based in Toronto, Ontario Canada. Quest services clients from all over North America, including major metropolises such as New York, Los Angeles, Washington DC, and Toronto.

Purpose

The Estimator will work alongside both the President and Director of Estimating to provide quotes on new construction and rehabilitation projects including material and installation costs.

What you will be doing

• Assist the company developing approaches to assembling winning bids
• Review updated bid documents and addendums on post bid submissions
• Prepare submittal packages once jobs are awarded
• Gather pricing and information to be used to produce best and final estimates and proposals
• Submit request for quotation (RFQ) to manufacturers and other vendors/suppliers for pricing
• Review supplier quotes to confirm they meet job requirements and match RFQ
• Complete take-offs from architectural drawings
• Submit request for information (RFI) to general contractors and architects regarding specification and architectural drawing discrepancies

What you will bring along

• College or university undergraduate degree in a related field
• At least 5 years of related experience in manufacturing environment with specific exposure to planning, coordinating and scheduling production operations
• Able to read mechanical drawings – interpretations
• Proficient in Bluebeam
• Advanced skill in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Outlook)
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
• Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, working well under pressure to meet deadlines
• Ability to work autonomously to achieve departmental goals
• Team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

Salary: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
