Position: Live-out Estate Manager
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday (Hours TBD)
Location: Roxbury, CT
Salary: Commensurate with experience
The Estate Manager will assume full responsibility for the operation and management of the Principal’s private estate – main residence and two-bedroom guest house – and in general provide services as outlined in the Estate Manager’s manual.
Responsibilities
:
Full responsibility for overseeing the daily care and maintenance of the estate as well as any additional projects- Direction and control over all staff; making effective recommendations and decisions regarding staff, including the hiring and firing, salaries, and staff performance evaluations
- Management of the household office including billing and calendaring
- Interview and make effective recommendations with regards to selection of contractors on an as-needed basis; supervision and control of all vendors, contractors and all out-sourced personnel
- Assist with preparation for guests and entertaining
- Oversee all aspects of landscaping, including weekly maintenance by all landscape/gardening crews and liaising with Landscape Architect
- This position consists of a full time, 5-day work week, Monday – Friday with overriding flexibility and availability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays as needed
- There is a full-time Caretaker on site
Requirements :
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational and planning skills- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to multi-task and discern priorities
- Polished, poised and professional, use of utmost discretion and confidentiality at all times
- Must have experience running a similar type of estate
- Full benefits package available after 60 days of employment
- College degree preferred
- Salary commensurate with experience
