Summary/Objective

The Equipment Readiness Manager for will oversee the delivery, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry equipment on Deployed Resources containerized assets and at their job sites across the country. This position will also travel to job sites and perform work as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Travel to job sites as needed, using company vehicles, to deliver, install, troubleshoot, repair, or remove HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances, or other equipment.
  • Perform general maintenance functions for temporary facilities, buildings, and tented structures to include carpentry or similar repairs.
  • Work with a variety of HVAC equipment to include RV-style ACs, mini-splits, and small residential and commercial units up to 5-ton size.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, water/wastewater systems, and kitchen appliances/equipment.
  • Conduct daily/scheduled maintenance checks and services on Government Equipment, Company trucks and equipment.
  • Operate site equipment to include but not limited to forklifts, tractors, work carts, yard maintenance equipment, skid steers.
  • Design and run reports on equipment readiness.
  • Assist with the direction, maintenance, training, and execution of a digital equipment tracking tool.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules with other internal operations divisions.
  • Assist in establishing equipment inventory and readiness procedures.
  • Provide equipment improvement recommendations, design, and implementation.
  • Generate equipment need priority lists.
  • Perform grounds maintenance and limited site work tasks as needed.
  • Assist with maintenance of water and wastewater systems.
  • Coordinate service calls when required.

Skills and Specifications

  • Ability to lead a team, including scheduling teams and overseeing repairs for a variety of projects
  • Ability to install, troubleshoot, and perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair
  • Familiarity with common tools and basic maintenance
  • Familiarity with basic construction, carpentry, and electrical functions
  • Ability to take direction and work independently, while prioritizing tasks
  • Proven problem-solving and creative thinking skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software.
  • Available to work various hours including nights, holidays, and weekends when needed.
  • Ability to travel to job sites as required.
  • Ability and willingness to learn how to perform general site maintenance tasks and operate vehicles and site equipment.
  • Must be local to Raeford, NC

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and field environments. We operate 24/7/365, inside and outside, in all weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smart phones, tablets, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other presentation materials. This role is required to use and wear standard PPE, which will be provided by the company. There is an expectation of clear communication in English both written and orally.


Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to twist, turn, bend, lift, kneel, climb, and stand. Lifting of up to 75 lbs may occur.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Hours will be determined based on location and by supervisor, with flexibility upon request. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends will be required based on contract needs. It is expected for this position to attend regular meetings during typical work hours in Eastern Standard Time as well as meetings as needed for assigned projects in other time zones.


Travel

35-50% travel is required. Travel is dependent on contract load. Ability to travel to job sites and be away for extended periods of time based on contract needs is required. Short notice travel is required with 24-48 hours’ notice.


Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years installation, troubleshooting, and repair experience and should include:
    • Experience with project management, scheduling, and team leadership
    • Experience meeting project deadlines
  • HVAC, electrical, forklift, safety, or other relevant certifications are desired
  • 1 year of experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing kitchen equipment is desired.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, CDL preferred.


Work Authorization/Security Clearance

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS).
  • Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background check after accepting a conditional offer of employment.
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a Transportation Worker’s Identification Credential (TWIC)
