As a team member, you will first learn the basics of how to move furniture and the basics of junk removal. Our local franchise services the entire GOLDEN TRIANGLE, including the Crystal Beach areas. We provide our services to homes and businesses. After learning the basics, you can easily progress into positions that have greater responsibility such as team management, driving our trucks, claim-resolutions, estimating move and junk jobs, and general problem-solving.

Applicants with a drive to learn new things, step out of their comfort zone and learn with a new, fast-growing, locally-owned company are highly desirable! "Handy-man" skills are a plus! PART TIME OR FULL TIME.

As a Mover Wingman or Junk Wingman for College Hunks Hauling Junk and College Hunks Moving, you are the first point of contact for clients on the job.

Responsibilities

• Go out of your way to be friendly (smile, eye contact, small-talk) to everyone whom you come in contact with throughout the day – especially your clients.
• Look, act and become a friendly college hunk – starting with the uniform (shirt tucked in, hat straight, pants at the waist), and continuing with your attitude (smiles and eye contact).
• Educate clients about pricing and services and the benefit to them prior to giving an estimate, ensuring 110% satisfaction.
• SAFELY operate at all times.
• Lead your team by relevant examples, showing them what the core values of the company are all about.
• Help to train new hires about the day to day operations and core values.
• Prevent careless and costly mistakes, including damage, injury, unhappy clients, lost equipment, etc.
• Check-in regularly throughout the day with direct supervisor for additional assignments and troubleshooting guidance.
• Hand wrapping various furniture using plastic wrap/moving blankets and other protective moving gear.
• Practice paper wrapping and boxing up items.
• Lifting/carrying (75+ lb) items, clearing pathways, cleanup, performing walkthroughs.
• Strapping heavy items to a dolly using various techniques.
• Using tools (drill, screwdriver, wrench, ratchet, sockets, etc.) properly/training stations.
• Loading/Unloading Junk trucks and Moving trucks.
• Familiarizing yourself with the warehouse daily duties.
• Cleaning, sweeping after a job is complete or tidying the warehouse.
• Participating in daily huddles and weekly work stations.
• Driving trucks/spotting/vacuuming and gassing trucks/truck inventory.
• Verbal etiquette /work behavior.
• Customer interactions/verbal and nonverbal ques.
• Dress code/Keeping a tidy appearance/Aware of cleanliness.

Who we're looking to hire: No experience necessary! We provide hands-on training to all to ensure you succeed. Must meet the following qualifications: * Must be able to lift 75+ pounds with a team.

• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Valid/Active Driver's License.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Drug and alcohol-free.
• Must be able to pass a federal background check, pass a light physical exam and drug screen.
