Enterprise Architect (f/m/d) Europe & Asia

As an architecture expert, you will contribute to the evolution of enterprise architecture practice and IT project execution, providing technical thought leadership, authoring reference design patterns, and delivering architecture work products.

You’ll be responsible for the technology strategy and roadmap of the solutions ecosystem in the assigned scope, ensuring that solutions meet evolving business requirements, while optimizing footprint, cost, obsolescence, and security factors. You’d leverage your technical expertise and influencing skills to drive discussions and decisions on new technology introduction, application rationalization, and portfolio health with global and regional IT teams and business stakeholders.

• Establish trust and effective partnerships with a diverse group of stakeholders across global and regional IT teams, IT business relationship managers, and business stakeholders.
• Engage with business relationship managers and other key stakeholders to understand business strategy, create and manage mapping of global and regional solutions to business capabilities, and define capabilities roadmap to inform technology strategy.
• Create and communicate a clear architectural vision and strategy to support development of business capabilities for the assigned scope, including application rationalization.
• Serve as the architecture expert, advising on resourcing and implementation of global and regional solutions, creating associated architecture work products, and contributing hands-on to delivery of working solutions.
• Ensure that solutions are delivered following relevant architecture best practices, principles, and standards, including documentation.
• Identify and drive improvements in enabling technologies across domains and regions, such as cloud-native services, connectivity and integration platforms, and common IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings.
• Guide application owners and portfolio managers on understanding application and portfolio health metrics, influencing prioritization of their efforts to remediate any obsolescence, security, or business continuity concerns.
• Promote organizational re-use of technologies and adoption of global solutions by identifying common capabilities, challenging process differences, and influencing regional priorities and timelines to enable adoption, and ensuring that regional needs are represented in global solution development roadmaps.
• Collaborate with other architects and subject matter experts to drive creation of architecture knowledge base and adoption of architecture best practices.
• Identify, introduce, and maintain relevant tech stacks, design patterns, and architecture principles, reviewing and documenting deviations.
• Lead the process of new technology introduction, including initial architecture assessment, solutioning and design effort, technical peer and executive reviews.
• Maintain knowledge of existing solutions and emerging technologies to advise stakeholders on near and long-term strategic influences.

How you convince us:

• You hold a university degree in Computer Science, IT, business, data, application, or related field.
• You bring at least at least 7 years of progressive IT architecture experience spanning business, data, application, and technology disciplines.
• You have a deep understanding of an industrial company IT ecosystem from manufacturing and supply chain to EHS and finance functional solutions, key interdependencies, and data flows.
• You demonstrate use of architecture principles and practices and ability to conceptualize and design alternative strategies and solution approaches, articulating benefits and tradeoffs.
• You demonstrate proven interpersonal skills to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership.
• You bring expertise in designing solutions and creating associated work products, executing projects using Agile and Waterfall IT methodologies.
• You bring expertise in creating architecture and technology roadmaps with alignment to business strategy.
• You bring experience architecting solutions in Microsoft Azure and on-prem hybrid cloud environments.
• You have working knowledge of SAFe and TOGAF frameworks and understanding of WCM, Lean, and Six Sigma business methodologies.
