How will you contribute to the team?
Supports a variety of projects, involving both design and field services of engineered products, for the commercial nuclear industry and government clients.
Interfaces with clients and successfully delivers specialized engineering products in accordance with customer specifications and requirements.
Oversees cost, timeliness, quality and technical adequacy of the specialty engineering services provided through regular reviews and evaluations.
Ensures that work is conducted in accordance with applicable Engineering and Quality Assurance procedures.
Applies advanced and/or specialized knowledge and skills to assigned projects that enable the delivery of complex assignments and projects that meet customer, quality and regulatory requirements.
Provides engineering leadership to project team to solve very complex problems and using sophisticated analytical thought to identify innovative solutions.
Ensures that all design work is executed effectively and that suitable multi-discipline reviews are undertaken to ensure adequacy to project functional requirements.
Fosters a team environment and team building within Engineering and with internal and external customers. Coordinates closely with counterparts in other engineering offices, including work and resource sharing.
Manages the design process and products configuration in accordance with approved procedures.
Oversees the preparation of cost estimates for engineering services to internal and external clients.
Operates in a matrix environment serving a variety of project managers, balancing and addressing multiple conflicting priorities.
Implements planning, scheduling and tracking of project engineering activities, commitments, costs and labor resources.
Manages and controls charges to indirect cost accounts to ensure that costs remain within budgeted amounts.
Provide subject matter expert support and serve as a resource for peers due to the level of specialism and experience in interpreting client or functional technical issues and recommending best practices.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What will you contribute?
Bachelor's degree required in engineering or relevant discipline.
Minimum of 10 years industry related experience.
Minimum of 5 years' experience supporting DOE or commercial nuclear projects.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar leadership position.
Successful management experience.
Demonstrated technical and management abilities, including proficient oral and written communication skills and the ability to scope, task and control the work assigned to a team of engineers who support multiple projects.
Demonstrated ability to critically review work products produced by the Engineering team, and provide technical guidance, feedback, mentorship and perform required quality control functions.
Ability to constructively interact with both internal and external customers, including project management staff, clients and other engineering supervisors.
Self-starter who can work in a team environment with minimal direction and supervision. Applies experience and judgment with a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
Proven ability to successfully implement planning, scheduling and tracking initiatives.
Advanced and/or specialized engineering knowledge and skills that enable the delivery of complex assignments and projects.
Management of multi-discipline engineering teams.
Understanding of mechanical, structural and/or electrical codes and standards.
Advanced degree preferred.
Professional Engineering (PE) License preferred.
Must be a U.S. citizen to be considered.

Pay Range: $117,000 - $196,000 (Please note: salary may be negotiable depending on experience.)
