POSITION SUMMARY

Install, repair and maintain a wide variety of electrical equipment and circuitry including electric motors, programmable drives, high voltage circuits, electrical control panels, programmable logic controllers, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints and manuals.
• Install and maintain electrical equipment, power distribution, lighting, signals and alarms.
• Troubleshoot and maintain relay logic circuits, starters, motors, electrical metering and measuring devices.
• Design, build and repair various control panels.
• Draw schematics.
• Use multimeters, meggers, amp probes, oscilloscope, signal generators and other electrical/electronic test equipment.
• Update and maintain knowledge of National Electrical Code.
• Troubleshoot and repair various electronic controls and circuits.
• Repair circuit boards and electronic components.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Journeyman or similar related certification or 2-year degree in Maintenance/Electrical/Mechanical Technology or equivalent training with experience.
• Minimum of 4 years' industrial experience in related field.
• Ability and willingness to work 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts and flexibility to work a schedule that may include days, evenings, weekends or holidays.
