Title:

This position will support our customers by solving electrical sustainment issues. The sustainment projects address obsolete components in multiple instrumentation, control, power, electronic, electro-mechanical interface systems. The engineer will be responsible for study, design, specification, and services related to electrical and electronic systems. Under supervision, the engineer performs assignments using knowledge and application of basic engineering principles. They perform specific and well-defined assignments:

• Develop technical documentation and publications relating to users, systems, processes, workflows, operations, products, and services.
• Create new electrical schematics & check out existing drawings
• Ensure proper system artwork generation and compliance with codes and standards ( NEC, Military Standards, etc.)
• Implement design changes and upgrades of existing components
• Write engineering change orders and test report as required

Requirements

• This position requires a bachelor’s in electrical engineering or related field.
• It requires 3-7 years of engineering experience.
• The candidate must understand root cause analysis and can suggest alternatives based on valid engineering parameters.
• They must be able to translate our customer’s engineering problems into clear report language, have good comprehension of engineering design drawings.
• The candidate must have good oral and written communication skills.
• The candidate must have the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred Skills

• It is desired that the candidate has LabView/ CVI programming skills
• Experience with SolidWorks Electrical or ANSYS Electronics and NI Circuit Design Pro, Power simulation software, Reliability, maintainability, and supportability challenges due to aging and obsolete components are preferred areas of experience.
