Thomas Child Care and Learning Academy is looking for a caring, compassionate Early Child Care Teacher who has experience caring for children 3 months to 3 years of age. We are committed to providing top quality care and education for students who are enrolled in our program. Our goal is to enhance the lives of every child that attends our facility. Lead Early Head Start teacher responsibilities and duties:
- Creation of lesson plans, maintaining records on each child’s progress and development and maintaining a safe classroom environment.
- Responsible for implementing Head Start, NAEYC performance standards, policies and procedures, regulations and guidelines in the day-to-day operations of our early childhood development center.
- Participate in staff meetings, center activities, and staff development.
- Observe each child daily to assess skills, interests, and needs and use this information to facilitate learning and growth
- Develop a cleaning routine throughout the day that keeps all of the interactive areas sanitary and safe
- Monitor children during all activities and interact with the children to enhance their learning
- Maintain a well-organized, safe and attractive classroom environment conducive to the optimal growth and development of children.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Work with other teachers and assistants to maintain communication with parents and contact parents in emergency situations
- Help prepare and serve meals and monitor children during lunch time
Job Requirements
A minimum of Associate Degree in Early Child Care Education
At least 2 years of on the job experience at a facility
Willingness to complete additional educational requirements

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff and parents as well as children 3 and over are required to wear a mask. Hands are washed and temperatures are taken upon arrival. Facility is disinfected daily.
