RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development of partnering relationships with senior executives throughout the international organization, building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust, and ensuring that internal clients have access to high-quality advice and guidance to support in delivering business strategy and plans.
- Lead the development and implementation of strategy for a significant area of responsibility, anticipating complex issues, challenges, and opportunities, and ensuring integration with wider corporate strategy.
- Provide specialist leadership within a multidisciplinary team to evaluate the current state organization, to develop and assess future state organizational design propositions, and to clarify the costs and business benefits of change.
- Identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging business needs of a significant business area. Evaluate current capabilities, identify gaps, and prioritize development activities. Motivate others to develop their capabilities and fulfill their personal potential. Build capabilities elsewhere in the organization through mentoring and other informal methods.
- Define the detailed organization structure for a business area to align with corporate principles, define the relationship between elements of the organization, and define the responsibilities of senior managers, to enable the organization to achieve its business objectives.
- Lead the detailed design and delivery of substantial projects within a transformational change program, ensuring integration with other disciplines/functions; build management commitment and use structured change management methodologies to drive acceptance of change and to embed desired culture and behaviors.
- Communicate the function's strategy and its relationship to the organization's mission, vision and values; clarify the actions needed to implement it within the area of responsibility; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals.
- Provide authoritative specialist guidance to the leadership team of a small or nationally based organization or subsidiary to guide the implementation of policy and the design and implementation of projects and change initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
- University (First degree)
- Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive job related experience in own area of expertise to fully competent level.
- Experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short / medium timescales within the overall policy framework.
- Uses expertise to act as organizational authority on planning, organizing, prioritizing and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
- Applies expertise to act as the organizational authority on developing appropriate plans or performing necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.
- Acts as the organizational authority and established expert on analyzing data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.
- Applies expertise to act as the organizational authority on making sure the organization develops and maintains the culture, values and design it needs to reach its objectives while managing structural change.
- Uses expertise to act as the organizational authority on developing, monitoring, interpreting and understanding policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives.
- Acts with expertise as the organization's authority on using clear and effective verbal communications skills to express ideas, request actions and formulate plans or policies.
- Applies expertise to act as the organizational authority on motivating all employees to learn, grow and develop so that they can obtain the knowledge and experience they need to help the organization reach its goals.
- Acts as the organizational authority and established expert on maintaining high performance while applying a change mindset to the planning, execution and monitoring of business activities during times of change.
