Missoula College invites applications for a Dual Enrollment Specialist to oversee administrative needs while providing leadership in the planning, development, and implementation of the Dual Enrollment program. In addition, the position will envision and oversee innovative career pathway grant activities.


This position will support Missoula College’s diverse pre-college student populations (including first generation, low income, LGBTQ+, and students with disabilities). This work is critical in helping students see themselves as college bound and gives students the confidence to purse a college degree. This position will support the MC community by providing opportunities for students to learn about Career and Technical (CTE) programs and career pathways. This will involve partnering with local industry to plan and organize career awareness events and activities that will serve the community’s economic needs. This position will assist in Missoula College’s efforts to expand and improve our dual credit programs through strong high school partnerships.


Essential Duties:

  • Assisting the Dual Enrollment & Online Learning Program Director with the management and supervision of programs that are CTE and Dual Enrollment related.
  • Plan, organize, execute, and evaluate a formal training each year for 50+ Faculty Affiliates.
  • Act as the faculty coordinator; connecting secondary and post-secondary instructors, providing necessary supports, resources, and assurance that program rigor is being maintained.
  • Collect and analyze data to aid with the assessment of the program as a whole.
  • Develop instructional materials and coordinating education content for Faculty Affiliates prior to start of each academic year.
  • In collaboration with the Dual Enrollment & Distance Learning Program Director, manage the logistics of the online dual enrollment application and online registration process.
  • Develop educational and informational materials for dual enrollment; distribute and communicate information in those materials to potential dual enrollment students and parents by phone, email, mailings and other correspondence.
  • Develop DE curriculum for faculty mentors and provide information sessions on national trends and best practices.
  • Plans and executes innovative career pathway and dual enrollment events and programs.
  • Cultivates relationships and manages communication with various populations.
  • Develop and maintain an online dual enrollment student orientation process.
  • Advises students, parents, faculty, and staff regarding dual enrollment and career pathways activities opportunities, policies, and procedures.
  • Creates and updates a faculty affiliate and liaison onboarding process using course management programs.
  • Research the NACEP accreditation standards and begin the process of aligning MC’s dual enrollment program with those standards including the creation and oversight of concurrent enrollment student and program assessments.
  • Other duties as necessary and assigned.

Minimum Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, as well as at least two (2) years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Experience with college enrollment services.
  • Experience with dual credit and/or early college programs.
  • Experience with principles and practices of education/career advising and counseling.

Position Details

Position Title: Dual Enrollment Specialist (Public Education Coordinator)

Position Number: NEW

Department: Missoula College

Work Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), Monday through

Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 12 months/year

Salary: $21.039/hr Current employee’s rate of pay for this position will be determined by the staff compensation plan and will minimally be this posted salary. For questions and details regarding the staff compensation plan, email the Compensation Department.

Union Affiliation: FOCUS-MFPE

Probationary Period: Six months minimum
