About this Role: You would be working 5-6 days a week. Workdays are 12-14 hours. Overtime kicks in after 40 hours and goes to time and half.
Position Summary:
Responsible for transporting and delivering a variety of products. Responsible for the safety and inspection of the vehicle before, during and after operation. May be responsible for loading and unloading shipments. Handles special projects, as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Must adhere to all related OSHA, EPA, DEQ, and DOT safety rules and regulations.
- Perform daily truck inspections and abide by all DOT regulations and reporting requirements.
- Transport materials and equipment from site to site as requested.
- Take direction from site superintendents on activities performed at work sites.
- Maintain capital equipment, including cleanliness and basic maintenance.
- Assist mechanic in major maintenance and repair of vehicle.
- Load and unload equipment and mats from truck as requested.
- Transports, loads and unloads mats and small equipment.
- Ensure loads are properly and safely secured to DOT regulations.
- Fluent in pre-trip/post trip inspections, maintaining driving logs.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or educational equivalent
- Valid driving license (required)
- Valid CDL (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of regulations for the transportation of products and materials being transported.
- Appropriate licensing from the proper regulatory authority.
- Ability to adhere to all safety and quality procedures.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, long hours, and holidays.
- Good attendance, punctuality, and timeliness are a must.
- Must be able to undergo criminal background, motor vehicle record, and drug screen/physical? (required)
