We are a full service boat club operating out of Honokohau Harbor. As a member of our club, you can log into our website, choose the boat you would like to take out, and choose either morning or afternoon 4 hour time frame. The Dock Master will receive this reservation and make sure our boat is ready at the requested time. We keep our boats in dry storage at Honokohau so very close to the boat ramps. When the member arrives at requested time, Dock Master will trailer the boat down the boat ramp, unload, and tie off at the dock. When our member has finished boating Dock Master will greet them at the boat ramp and help them tie off at the dock. Once member has gone, Dock Master will load boat onto the trailer, clean at wash down station and place back in storage for next use. There is typically at least one reservation per day, but is possible to have four. There will also be days where there are no reservations. Dock Master will use company truck to transport boats, and has the ability to use truck to drive to and from the harbor. We are a growing club and there will be lots of future opportunities for the right person. Base salary of 52K, plus 10K in guaranteed tips, and additional bonus if club reaches certain number of members by the end of the year. Dock Master can also earn generous commissions for each new member that they sign up. Some of the leads coming through the website will be shared with Dock Master. If Dock Master is also a boat captain, they can take members out on captained rides at a negotiated rate.

The ideal candidate will have trailering experience, and experience dropping a boat on and off a boat ramp. They will be outgoing and energetic, as well as patient and polite. Being sales minded is important as well as 1 new member per month will greatly increase income potential with this position. Communicating with folks around the harbor can be a great source for new leads, as well as communicating with the members themselves. Dock Master does not mind rolling up their sleeve to make sure the boats stay clean and presentable to the members. Dock Master will be invited to all of the member events, and will have lots of fun as the club grows! Dock Master will also have ability for commissions with boat sales through our sister business, Ohana Boat Sales.
