Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Division Pharmacy IT Application Specialist, you will serve as the primary subject expert for Pharmacy-related applications to include the implementation and support of market-wide standardization, utilization, and optimization activities. You will be responsible for the resolution of complex issues that impact all facilities.

• 
  You will coordinate market-wide common dictionary and chargemaster management.
• You will develop education and training materials, manage validation and testing of upgrades, and coordinate the implementation of best demonstrated practices.
• You will serve as clinical applications/Meditech module expert, providing user support and system maintenance for assigned clinical applications for division hospitals.
• You will conduct problem analyses, timely and accurate resolution for complex issues and request escalation from the division Service Desk or other division or facility service resources.
• You will work with facility Senior Analysts and Division Clinical Specialist Team to provide support for module updates and new installations within pharmacy applications across HCA Healthcare division hospitals.
• You will work with the Division Clinical Specialist Team to define reporting standards and work with facilities to implement the standards.
• You will aggregate data from division-level reports.
• You will identify, evaluate designs, and package division best practices, policies and procedures for clinical application implementation and use.

What Qualifications you will need:

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required
• Minimum 3 years’ pharmacy applications support experience required or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• Minimum 3 years’ in hospital pharmacy practice preferred
• Possession/maintenance of applicable state Pharmacist license
