Reporting to the Senior Director MDLZ Supply Chain (MSC) Sustainability, the Director of Supplier Sustainability is responsible for working in close collaboration with stakeholders & colleagues across Global Procurement, Supply Chain, Impact, HR, Legal, R&D and other functions to inform global Impact goals and strategies via timely communication of Procurement data, knowledge and best practices. In full alignment with these goals & strategies, this role is responsible for establishing, deploying and managing Procurement & Supplier programs that deliver performace to targets across Sustainable Ingredients, Social Sustainability, Net Zero, Water Risk Management and Sustainable Packaging.
The successful candidate will have proven leadership ability and people management skills, deploying these to set a vision, strategy and KPIs, as well as create a culture within Supplier Sustainability that enables 4 direct reports and 2 indirect reports to deliver required results on-time, while sustaining high levels of motivation and sense of purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
Continue to set the vision, mission, strategy and KPIs for the Supplier Sustainability team, establishing effective governance and oversight to ensure progress to targets plus effective performance risk management
Be responsible for reporting & communicating progress to relevant leaders, within and outside of Procurement, against critical Leadership and Function KPIs
Establish, refresh and manage compliance to relevant Source-to-Settle documents, including but not limited to supplier policies, contract clauses, Supplier Code of Conduct, Supplier Performance expectations etc.
Work cross-functionally to refresh company ESG Goals, KPIs, Strategies and Priorities ensuring that these are aligned with Procurement Leadership vision and strategy, as well as accurate cost data & Procurement resource requirements.
Attend relevant conferences, roundtables and industry events, building and maintaining a network of peers at other companies, while keeping current on latest trends, risks, opportunities and best practices
Work with Procurement CoEs (SD&PM, Systems, Compliance, Process) and global ecosystem of buyers and sourcing managers to ensure ESG is fully integrated into MDLZ Sourcing & Supplier Management processes and systems
Work with Manager MSC Reporting & Disclosure to ensure that reporting calendar, compliance requirements and improvement actions are rolled down into relevant programs and KPIs across all 4 pillars of Supplier Sustainability
Work with Impact, Procurement, R&D, BUs and Finance to ensure robust & accurate budgets are built and managed in accordance with standard processes and per shared timelines
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Finance, Business, Supply Chain or similar (Master's degree preferred)
Minimum 10 years' experience in Procurement or Supply Chain, with direct experience in Supplier Sustainability (preferably 3 years minimum in global supplier sustainability or sustainable sourcing role)
Proven and demonstrable ability to lead a team toward a common vision, strategy and goals, as well as influence senior-level stakeholders without authority
Proven ability to work across functions and with external/industry groups to develop leading practices and enable full compliance to stringent policies and country regulations along the global supply chain
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional time management, with proven ability to prioritize a fast-moving, fast-evolving, and highly visible agenda of work, as part of the company's pillars
