Our Office of Quality is looking to add a Director of Quality II to their dedicated team. As the Director of Quality II assigned to the Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital, you will be monitoring, analyzing, and improving performance for our clinical quality metrics, improving our patients’ care and experience.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Acting as a member of the local leadership team and supporting unique challenges within the facility.
- Coordinating with nursing, care management, medical staff, and others as appropriate to ensure compliance with all standards.
- Coordinating and implementing Quality and Patient Safety initiatives to ensure operational alignment with assigned Hospital/Institute and organizational objectives.

- Has prior experience with Clinical Quality, Patient Safety and Performance Improvement methodologies.
- Has knowledge of national, regional and local quality and safety initiatives.
- Ability to multi-task and manage people.
- Has extensive experience utilizing Excel and PowerPoint, including building advanced formulas and pivot tables.
Our Quality Directors are certified in healthcare quality, and we offer courses to prepare you for the certification as well as further develop in other areas of interest. This role is hybrid as well, allowing you to work from home and be in the office when needed.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with leadership and support teams to develop, and maintain an integrated Quality Plan to achieve quality, safety and patient experience goals.
- Incorporates enterprise priorities and regulatory requirements and benchmarks.
- Communicates priorities to stakeholders at all levels.
- Drives continuous improvement activity around quality, safety and patient experience priorities and coordinates improvement projects.
- Measures and analyzes data reflecting processes and outcomes prioritized by Hospital and the Enterprise Quality Leadership Team. Acts as the local expert in quality performance for the Hospital.
- Facilitates dashboard reviews, data analysis and decision-making from data. Identify and address root causes to lead to sustainable improvement.
- Acts as a champion for continuous improvement utilizing the Cleveland Clinic Improvement Model. Coaches others to improve organizational capacity for improvement.
- Manages the budget for the local quality department as a steward of limited resources.
- Supports enterprise improvement projects as necessary.
- Develops relationships with skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, and other groups that support the patients served by the hospital

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, Engineering or related field required.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of hospital accreditation and current trends in Quality Management preferred
Certifications:
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality-CPHQ Required within 1 year of hire.
- Certified Professional in Patient Safety-CPPS preferred

Work Experience:
- Minimum five years’ experience in process improvement quality management or related field.
- Prior experience with high reliability concepts, root cause and data analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies in a healthcare setting highly preferred.
- Experience with EMR chart review preferred.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Progressive quality and performance improvement, research, leadership, supervision or project team management required.
- Note: The number of specialized years of experience another factors are considered when determining the level of Director.
Physical Requirements:
- Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
- Requires frequent data entry, standing, walking and sitting.
- Normal or corrected vision, hearing and speech.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
