The Laboratory Products Division (LPD) Project Management Office Director provides leadership for the PMO team where we support multiple business units’ product development, on-market product support, and R&D programs. The PMO is accountable to the division where we have demonstrated capabilities at driving cross-functional project execution and collaboration across the division. By developing a team of project managers, you will succeed by being responsible for projects from inception to post launch surveillance in collaboration with R&D teams, product managers, cross-functional partners, and subject matter experts. You will deliver agreed upon projects with positive outcomes including business value, program cost, schedule, quality and cost-of-goods targets. As a functional manager, you are responsible for career and skills development. As a partner with the business leadership, you ensure the portfolio of programs are prioritized and positive value is derived!

RESPONSIBILITIES-YOUR WORK WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

  • Establishing and promoting industry-recognized, best-in-class project management standards. Personally, providing subject matter expertise and support for large and/or complex programs.
  • Communicating PM standards, providing coaching on performance, creating personal development plans, and developing organizational capabilities. Proactively creating robust succession plans.
  • Assigning PM resources based on project complexity, strategic importance, etc and accountability for the development of project teams with input from the functional managers.
  • You will add benefit by leading reviews of portfolio with Divisional leadership, driving prioritization and reporting status and revenue of all NPI programs, in coordination with BU. You will ensure effective stakeholder management plans are established for communicating information concerning project status (i.e. schedules, outcomes, costs, risks, etc).
  • Ensuring an effective risk process is established and barriers to effective project execution are addressed including facilitating prioritization and trade-off decisions.
  • Partnering with BU leaders to integrate multiple segments into a cohesive strategy and annual plan, focusing on R&D utilization, in alignment with LPD strategy. Facilitating the creation of an NPI portfolio roadmap for implementation.
  • Owning the stage gate process and ensuring adherence to predictably deliver projects.
  • Establishing program management KPIs and monitoring progress including NPD dashboard by BU and Division. Driving the implementation of IT Tools to support projects.

REQUIREMENTS-HOW WILL YOU GET HERE?

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required preferably in engineering, scientific, or other related field
  • 10+ years of experience in program & project management, cross functional leadership, experience with R&D, Operations and Supply Chain
  • 5-10 years’ experience leading a team of 10+ direct reports
  • Experience leading complex, global product development & commercialization programs in a regulated environment
  • Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with peers and leaders
  • PMI or PMP certification preferred
  • Knowledge of lean six sigma methodology

The salary range estimated for this position is $150,000-$225,000. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
