This position will manage sales reps throughout United States.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sales Director is responsible for a specified geography of key strategic book of business. This front-line sales leader must develop and implement actionable business sales plans through healthcare market trends, territory analysis and provide valuable coaching to motivate sales force team in executing aligned marketing sales strategies to drive profitable growth.

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES:
Duties may include but are not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives, drive and maintain growth in assigned region.
  • Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust sales strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Develop and manages sales operating budget.
  • Direct and coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
  • Manage and Monitor sales force's revenue forecast, pipeline and close of business for profitability.
  • Develop and provide solutions through ongoing business to business reviews of territory analysis and market trends to ensure profitability. Achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.
  • Monitor competitor sales and marketing activities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners. Partner and deliver prompt and frequent communication to Senior Management and Sales force team.
  • Direct sales forecasting activities, set performance goals accordingly, keep the sales team accountable. Leverage all tools and resources (including data, sales portal, target lists; Marketing Department, Laboratory resources, and regional resources as needed)
  • Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs. Provide continuing education to sales force and customers on company technologies and laboratory testing
  • Represent company at trade association meetings to promote services.
  • Meet with key clients, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Coordinate and acts as a liaison between sales department and other operational units. Partner with all departments within the company to successfully provided resources to the sales team.
  • Act in accordance with all compliance with company policies and government regulations
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing or business administration
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare sales with progressive management experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership role managing others
  • Must have a clean, valid Driver License and a vehicle to use for work on a daily basis.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work closely with other company units and team members
  • Excellent problem solving, customer service skills in a healthcare, hospital or physician organization
  • Development and execution of sales plan (pipeline, hiring and training)
  • Attention to detail
  • Good Business Acumen
  • Strategic Thinking, ability to learn new systems and processes
  • Excellent computer skills, MS Office
  • Strong oral, written, interpersonal communication skills
  • Results Driven and High initiative
  • Frequent travel to clients' sites and/or company/sales events on a day to day basis and some occasional overnight travel
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • Experience working for a diagnostic laboratory highly desired
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare sales with progressive management experience
