Job description

As Admissions Coordinator, you are responsible for leading the facility's activities in the pre-admission, admission, discharge and business development processes. Duties include but not limited too: achieves facility occupancy and financial viability goals, conducting facility tours for prospective residents, receives referral and coordinates clinical assessment, screening and ensures appropriate clinical acceptance in a timely manner, verification of payer source, i.e., Medicare, Managed Care, Medicaid Insurance, etc., ensure level of care approval obtained and or OBRA screen (PASSAR, MIMR) when indicated, notify departments of anticipated admissions, maintains knowledge of current regulations governing Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance company reimbursement, tracks, pr-admission referral activity daily, tracks acute hospital admission to ensure readmission of patients, adheres to all company policies and procedures, participates in safety, quality improvement and infection control programs, and demonstrates respect and compassion in every interaction.
