We are searching for a Director of Nursing (RN) to lead our clinical team in El Paso, TX. The director of nursing should be a hard-working and compassionate registered nurse who has steadily developed their managerial and administrative skills. Schedule: Monday – Friday In-Office *paid, rotating on-call (may also include evening/weekend visits)
Work Location: 7400 Viscount Boulevard, El Paso, TX 79925, occassional travel as required
Compensation: Up to $75,000 Base Salary, plus monthly bonus potential, cell phone and mileage reimbursement

Nursing Director Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing service department, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
- Develop methods for coordination of nursing services with other services to ensure the continuity of the patient’s total regimen of care.
- Promote and enhance the level of clinical expertise of staff to provide safe and quality nursing care for our patients. Assist with Interviewing, selecting, training and validation of new clinical staff. Internal case management, evaluation and development of nursing talent
- Review physicians’ orders and update the plans of care and documentation, as necessary
- Participating in the release of our patients from the facility to their home through “Start of Care Assessments” and “Re-evaluations”
- Collaborating with the operations and business development team
- Ensure adherence to State, Federal, Local and Aveanna policies and procedures
- Develop, implement, and maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the nursing service department.
- Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.
- Assist the Discharge Planning Coordinator in developing, implementing and periodically updating the written procedures for the Discharge Planning Program.
- Assist the resident and Discharge Planning Coordinator in planning the nursing services portion of the resident’s discharge plan.
Qualifications of the Nursing Director:
- Must have good standing license (RN) in the state in which the clinician will practice
- Must have at least 1 year of hands-on nursing experience
- One year of management experience, preferred
- Must be able to travel to patients’ homes in designated territory
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and pass MVR check
- Current CPR certification from AHA or ARC
- Must be willing to supervise nurses providing in home skilled nursing care to infants, children, adolescents and/or adults
