Job Title: Director of Links - Ohio (Medina, Wayne, Huron, and Ashland Counties)
Position Summary: This position is a key member of the leadership team managing the adult day service (ADS) programs in all counties. This position is responsible for leadership, quality services, strategic planning and new development.

Essential Functions:
- Recruits, hires, leads, trains, supervises and evaluates ADS Supervisors. Addresses personnel issues, disciplinary actions and coaching to ensure quality services to individuals. Develops staff and team members to promote within the agency.
- Ensures delivery of quality of service and compliance with rules and regulations and best practices consistent with the agency mission. Leads quality assurance efforts at all ADS sites.
- Completes regular visits to all ADS sites to observe day to day operations to ensure the programs are functioning according to The Society’s standards.
- Responsible for program expansion and long term planning of ADS programs in order to comply with rules, regulations and best practices.
- Responsible for NMT (Non-Medical Transportation) management service.
- Ensures NMT and ADS billing documentations to finance in timely manner.
- Works with the Service and Support Administrators of the County Boards, and ADS Supervisors, to build relationships to aid program expansion and opportunities. Reviews and responds to RFPs.
- Works with ADS Supervisors to prepare and maintain budgets for each site and ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Oversees communication with individuals, families, SSA’s and other stakeholders. Serves as a key team member for individuals and attends individuals’ meetings and planning sessions, as needed. Oversees social media activity for ADS sites.
- Participates in all waiver compliance reviews and coordinates plans of correction as needed.
§ Ensures that all Major Unusual Incidents are reported, UIR’s completed and all documentation completed and addressed according to the regulations and agency procedures. Reviews incidents to identify trends and patterns.
§ Serves on committees internal and external to the agency. Attends trade organization meetings.
§ Demonstrates a positive and professional attitude, teamwork and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate quality service delivery and a positive agency image.
§ Serves as an effective leader and communicator and is self-motivated, dependable, collaborative and has the ability to work flexible hours.
§ Adheres to The Society’s policies and acts as a role model in adherence to these policies.
§ Performs all other duties as assigned.
Bona-fide Occupationally Required Competencies and Credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, education, business or related field preferred or equivalent experience may be substituted with a High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years of supervisory and management experience in the field of developmental disabilities.
- Displays knowledge of Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, Ohio Department of Medicaid, Ohio Department of Health and Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities regulations.
- Must have basic computer and word processing skills.
- Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License, good driving record and carry the proper liability insurance amounts required by The Society.
- Must obtain and maintain certification in CPR, First Aid, PMT and Medication Administration and health related activities.
- Highly motivated and self-driven to work within a team structure toward diverse and inclusive problem solving.
- Effective communicator who displays diversity in approaches.
Location: Medina
Travel: Internal/externalmeetings as well as site visits within the agency.
Reports to: AssociateExecutive Director
FLSA Status: Exempt; Full-time (40 hrs. /week)
Supervises: ADS Supervisors
Works with: Individuals, guardians, families, external providers, medical specialists, department directors and administrative support staff, maintenance department and County Boards.

Physical demands: While performing duties of the job, employee is required to stand, walk, sit, drive, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Based on results of the Hazard Assessment for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), PPE may be required as outlined in the Infection Prevention and Control Manual and/or the Covid-19 Safety Preparedness and Response Plan. Required PPE may include: gloves, masks, gowns, goggles, face shields and/or N95 respirators.
