Job description

Williamson County Government is seeking an Insurance and Safety Director to oversee all operations of the Risk Management Department. The Director is responsible for the administration of the self-insured and self-administered property and casualty insurance program for Williamson County Government, Williamson County Schools and Williamson Health. The Director works with insurance companies and producers through the application process and procurement of Excess Insurance coverage. The Director will collaborate and consult with other professionals, internal and external, on risk exposures and assessment. The Director serves as the ADA Coordinator and OSHA liaison. The individual in this position must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, leadership abilities and sound judgement.

Other responsibilities within the Risk Management Department include but are not limited to supervision of staff, preparation and monitoring the department budgets, the departmental payroll process and compiling various management reports. Attending meetings during and after normal business hours, as well as some after business hours work will be necessary.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business or other related field.
• Preferred Tennessee Property and Casualty Producer License (must be obtained within first 60 days of hire) (company supported)
• Preferred 30 Hour OSHA certification (must be obtained within first 6 months of hire date) (company supported)
