What You'll Do
As the Director of Global Sourcing, Power Electronics, you will Develop and lead strategic sourcing efforts for the Power Electronics categories across the entire Stanley Black & Decker enterprise. This position leads a team of two (2) Category Leaders. One of the Lead Commodity Mangers(LCM) will manage the strategic sourcing responsibilities for Motor Components which accounts for approximately $150M of key strategic components such as Rare Earth Permanent Magnets. The other LCM will be responsible for approximately $100M of Sourced Motors. Along with leading the Power Electronics Team, you will also have direct responsibility for the battery charger spend category of approximately $150M. The role includes:

• Responsible for effectively managing ~$400M of spend which involves identifying key aggregation opportunities, and creating programs to leverage spend at the highest possible level for the maximum possible impact
• Responsible for partnering with the key internal stakeholders to understand requirements and drive global, value-based year over year sustainable sourcing strategies across the category spectrum to ensure quality, value-cost optimization, service performance and business continuity are developed and sustained to grow the business
• Create and manage strategic supplier partnerships to ensure continual performance expectations are met and year over year productivity targets are achieved by conducting proper supplier management techniques
• Keep current on category market, cost drivers and economic outlook to guide category strategy and keep company updated on developments.

• Bachelor's degree required- Engineering Degree highly preferred, Business, Finance, or Supply Chain preferred
• Minimum of 8 years strategic sourcing experience of which 4 must be in electronics in a global, multi-site manufacturing environment
• Experience in Strategic Sourcing in consumer electronics industry highly preferred, experience managing contract manufacturers / EMS on motors and chargers desirable.
• Experience in multicultural negotiations, contracting and supplier management activities required
• Experience in leading large, global complex supply management solution projects required
