About the Role
The Director, Digital Transformation Strategy will play a key role in partnering with internal stakeholders to define, develop and maintain strategic plans related to various technology programs enabling our Ambition 2025 goals and objective related to Cloud, Digital Integration Services, and API Marketplace.
The Director will need to be seen as a Trusted Advisor with Engineering (Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE)), Enterprise Architecture, Product Engineering aka CIO’s, and Data and Analytics to establish robust program strategy and planning across the NACB organization.
This role will require the incumbent to be highly collaborative and operate in consultative capacity at times with CIOO/CIOs to align on roadmap development and integration strategies to build and mature the global technology capabilities.
The ideal candidate must be a catalyst for change and champions early pre-transformation ideas (“innovations”) to shape the strategic agenda and technology roadmap. Decision and outcomes made by this role have a significant impact on the organization.
Role Accountabilities:
Provides technical thought-leadership and influence across NACB and BMO as necessary ensuring unified strategies and execution plans exist on new innovative and transformation programs.
Establishes and oversees the cloud-delivery roadmaps in concert with engineering, architecture, analytics and platforms.
Effectively communicates cloud and strategic initiatives (when applicable) vision across the IT organization and the BMO.
Co-develop operational investments for cloud and strategic initiatives in driving our digital transformation across our platforms in the portfolio.
Co-develops short- and long-range product (i.e., cloud) and service strategies and plans. Oversees the execution of plans for CIO’s organizations for value delivery.
Ensures all risks, issues and blind spots are being actively addressed to avoid negative outcomes. Oversees the issue/risk escalation and resolution.
Works closely with CIO’s and Finance groups in budget planning. Works to scope investments, contract scope, and activities with strategic vendors/partners in partnership with CIO’s.
Enables a collaborative working environment by identifying risks, help troubleshoots, resolves, and escalates issues and risks to the next level and/or Business Owners, when necessary.
Establishes and tracks goals, metrics against business goals and objectives, with natural evolution to a set of OKR’s
Maintain Strategies, API Catalog and roadmaps across the NACB T&O organization.
Performs as idea generator, working with others as a thought leader and subject- matter expert to help brainstorm new processes and solutions. Builds and enhances key internal and external contacts.
Qualifications
Experience in developing product strategies and/or roadmaps in the execution of enterprise-wide transformational technology programs
Exceptional presentation skills (verbal and written) with experience and comfort developing material for and presenting in Executive forums
Strong consultative mindset with collaboration and relationship building skills and experience in building consensus across business and technology domains
Ability to work independently and with ambiguity in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
Speak both “business” language and “technical” language with ability to work with both technical and non-technical partners
Understands and keeps up to date with emerging technologies, trends, and innovative solutions being implemented across the industry
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with influence skills
Experience:
Typically 9+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Seasoned expert with extensive industry knowledge.
Technical leader viewed as a thought leader for innovation.
