MNRK Music Group is hiring a Director, Management/A&R to join our A&R team in California. As the Director, Management/A&R, you will be responsible for supporting our existing client roster, as well as researching and identify emerging talent.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Researching and signing songwriters and producers with strong commercial potential.
• Helping develop internal administration systems and processes to track and organize incoming writers, song demos, pitches, placements and session follow-up.
• Providing excellent service to existing roster by developing familiarity and relationships with talent as well as an understanding of the existing catalog of songs.
• Engaging with A&R teams, management companies and outside publishers to set up songwriting sessions and new projects for MNRK roster consideration.
• Assisting with A&R outreach, communication, and administration including playlist compilation, release announcements and asset collection (music files, metadata, artwork, etc.)
• Coordinating with synch department to ensure published songs are primed for placement in various Film and TV projects, Commercials, Video Games, etc.
• Coordinating with publishing administration to ensure that all writer information is properly catalogued for tracking and collection.
• Providing pitch submissions to the MNRK Music Dept for TV/Film, Artist, Brand, etc. consideration.
• Helping organize, keep up-to-date and compile information for quarterly newsletter and other promotional materials, including song playlists, writer bios and social media links.
• Helping manage logistics and budgets of ongoing projects, including songwriting camps, writer travel, etc.
• Helping with company management roster from time to time; particularly songwriter/producer clients.
• Organizing inbound requests across a variety of internal and external work-flows and calendars.
• Organizing and maintaining internal data (music, catalogs, documents, etc.) across several digital platforms, in collaboration with internal departments/team members.
• Traveling and attending showcases and recording sessions.

What Makes You Qualified:

• 3+ years A&R/creative music industry experience, preferably at a record label, music publisher, management company, music tech, or DSP.
• Strong connections and reputation in the music industry and songwriter/producer community that can be leveraged for the benefit of our songwriters.
• Strong people and relationship building skills. Must be able to partner with various teams to gather, analyze and disseminate information.
• Knowledge of producer deals, publishing, royalties, PROs, etc.
• A demonstrated passion for and experience working closely with songwriters, artists and music producers to help develop the talent of MNRK writers.
• Experience with a variety of office tools (Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Disco, Google Apps).
• Understanding of the A&R and recording process.
• Expansive knowledge of various genres of music and the ability to separate/identify the commercially viable from the pack.
• Experience with research (A&R research experience is a plus).
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Outstanding written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work outside standard office hours.
